Hamalali Wayunagu: Garifuna Folkloric and Modern Dance Company
The need to awaken youth awareness and inform the world of the Garifuna culture  led to the creation of Hamalali Wayunagu.

Hamalali Wayunaga, meaning "voices of our ancestors", call upon audiences in the Americas to experience the Garifuna culture.  By exposing young people to cultural experiences  through dance and music, Hamalali Wayunagu helps to keep the culture alive across the Garifuna Diaspora in the USA.

The Company is led by dancer/choreographer, Luz F. Soliz, winner of the 1994 Bronx Best Choreographer Award from Bronx Council on the Arts.
